Is something bothering you about your girl and your relationship? Pay attention. That might be a heads up that she’s cheating. Besides that gut feeling, there are other signs you should be aware of. Don’t be hasty, though, these are just signs. You need evidence before you pass any accusations.
Is she getting a bit more dressy in her habits? Is she wearing a bit more makeup than usual? Those could be signs of cheating. An appearance upgrade could be a sign that your lady is cheating on you. Was your girlfriend once the pretty but plain Jane? Whoa! Then what’s with the new sexy clothes and new hairdo? Women often start to gussy up when they want to start turning heads. Of course, you remember how she used to do herself up right to impress you. Check it out. Is she making an effort to look really hot on her supposed night out with the girls?
Does she sometimes find excuses to spend less time with you? That may be the second sign. Is “going out with the girls” starting to be more of a habit than it used to be? That could very well be another indicator that your girl’s cheating on you. Is she really spending all that extra time at work or with or friends? Spending more and more of her free time with others rather than you, usually means the relationship is on the rocks or she’s cheating.
Are kisses and hugs less frequent or altogether gone? Is the bedroom no longer a “play” room? That could be the third sign of cheating. Most women are, by nature, affectionate. A growing lack of affection could be cause for alarm. Did she once approach you with tenderness? Is that attitude gone? That too could be a sign that she’s cheating. Perhaps she doesn’t kiss you goodbye any more. Maybe she seems like a robot when she’s trying to show affection.
Perhaps the folks that you and your girl used to hang out with are starting to avoid you. That could be the fourth indicator. Maybe her best friend is starting to dodge you at parties or on the street. How are her work friends treating you? Sort of cold? As always, the victim is usually the last to know, these folks may be side-stepping you to avoid conflict. Folks just don’t want to play favorites and thus get involved in a fidelity feud. Don’t be a jerk, but it wouldn’t hurt to talk to those who are avoiding you so that you can get the whole story.
Lies. That’s your fifth clue and the most obvious. Perhaps her lies are starting to fall down around her. Often, cheaters will lean on their friends for alibis or other lies. Cheaters are liars. They have to be. That’s how they try to get away with cheating. You can catch cheaters red-handed, but they’ll still lie. And some of the lies can get rather hilarious as they involve too many details or are over-explained. The truth about lies is that they are the best tip-off that your girl is cheating on you.
Sometimes it only takes one instance of the activities mentioned above to figure out you’re being cheated. If you discover more than one, you’re probably the victim of your girlfriend’s cheating. Give her the benefit of the doubt. If you accuse her of cheating going only by signs and not presenting solid evidence, you could be making a big fool of yourself.
